Project

Fabrication of structural components for a 250-ton mobile cleaner spirals plant.

Service

Fabrication, welding, and industrial painting.

Project Overview

Mount Maunganui Engineering played a key role in constructing the 250-ton mobile cleaner spiral plant by fabricating various vital structural components. These included the MCC Room, Level 1 and 2 platform structural sections, stairs and handrails, the MCS observation hut platform, and the 250 SHS MCS columns.

The project required seamless collaboration to meet staggered delivery deadlines and ensure every component was manufactured to Taharoa Ironsands’ specifications.

Project Outcomes

By providing high-quality, long-lasting structural parts that meet strict industry standards, we helped ensure reliability across multiple operations within Taharoa Ironsands. Operating since 1972, the mine sits on the country’s largest iron sand deposit, making this project a vital contribution to its ongoing success.
“From fabricating large structural sections to delivering intricate components to tight deadlines, this project pushed our team to showcase the best of our expertise in fabrication, welding, and industrial painting—we pride ourselves on being able to keep industries moving forward!”
